Embrained est une formation rock acoustique anglophone de Québec en pleine émergence depuis la sortie de son premier mini-album Save Myself. Ayant comme influences Bright Eyes et Coldplay, la qualité des compositions du chanteur et guitariste Jonathan Bergeron a rapidement permis à Embrained de se démarquer sur la scène indépendante, amenant même la formation jusqu’à Toronto à l’été 2008.
La feuille de route de l'auteur-compositeur est déjà bien remplie avec son ancienne formation Wideload : gagnant du concours CONGA 2002, lancement de 2 albums sous l'étiquette New Rock/DEP/Outside, six extraits radios (top5 CHOI radio X, COOL FM, CKOI FM), un vidéoclip "Transaction" numéro 1 du top 5 Musique Plus et rotation à l'émission French Kiss à Much Music. Aussi, plus de 200 spectacles réalisés ainsi que l'occasion d'ouvrir pour plusieurs artistes de renom incluant Matthew Good Band, Planet Smashers, SUM 41, Grim Skunk, American Hi-Fi, Theory of a Dead Man en plus de participer à l'édition 2005 de la tournée Vans Warped Tour lors de son passage à Québec.
Accompagné des musiciens expériementés Mike Bélanger (Forgotten Tales, Wideload) à la batterie, Benoît Claveau (Philosonic) à la basse, Simon Labrecque (Wideload) à la guitare et de la choriste Nathalie Gilbert, embrained offre sur scène un rock acoustique livré avec précision et nous transporte assurément dans un univers mélodique et réfléchi.

Living his early childhood in Los Angeles, Singer/Songwriter Jonathan Bergeron moved to Quebec City with his family where he grew up, carrying with him undeniable embrained Californian influences. Quickly finding a passion in songwriting, he began to record his own songs and to play on-stage in local rock shows at fifteen.
Never stopping on his way, Jonathan became with his former band Wideload, a major actor of Quebec's rock scene. Winner of the CONGA contest (Laval University, 2002), he released two albums with the band, and managed to get airplay for six radio singles in Montreal and Quebec (CHOI FM, COOL FM, CKOI FM), reaching mainstream visibility on Musique Plus (Top 5) and Much Music (French Kiss) with single video "Transaction" in 2005. He played nearly 200 shows from Quebec to Ottawa and performed opening acts for various artists including Matthew Good Band, Planet Smashers, SUM 41, Grim Skunk, American Hi-Fi, Theory of a Dead Man and was invited to the 2005 Quebec edition of the Van's Warped Tour.
With a collection of acoustic songs he had gathered all over the years, Embrained was founded as an artistic statement to express personal reflections towards life using lyrics as a recipient for overthinking. Slow punkish melodies void of distortion leaves all the room for honest lyrics and sets the ambiance for a very confessional mood. As a lead vocalist and acoustic guitar player, Jonathan sometimes perform solo, sometimes with a complete band, teeming with drummer Mike Bélanger, electric guitarist Simon Labrecque, bassist Benoît Claveau and back-vocalist Nathalie Gilbert.
Embrained's musical style can be defined as Indie Rock. Main influences are Bright Eyes, Dashboard Confessional and Coldplay. The debut EP "Save Myself" was released November 2007 in Quebec and Montreal and Embrained will hit the stage in early January.
