Nous sommes un groupe pop-punk originaire de la Mauricie. Nous jouons tous de la musique depuis belle lurette et une chimie indestructible fut créée au fil du temps. Découlant du fait que chacun des membres a un style plus ou moins semblable, le produit final dresse une bonne image de ce que nous sommes en mesure d'accomplir. Nous avons beaucoup d'influences passant par des groupes tels que Green Day, Rise Against, Mest et AFI.
Depuis maintenant 7 ans, Martin, Serge et Jonathan jouent de la musiqueensemble. Anciens membres de la formation Broken Glass, un groupe qui a fait ses preuves pendant environ 3 ans, un peu partout au Québec. Francis, ancien membre aussi de cette formation, joue avec les trois membres fondateur depuis un certain temps déjà. Nous avons passé de bons moments avec ce groupe, mais si nous voulions pousser notre art plus loin, il nous a fallu faire des choix cruciaux.
Suite à cette histoire plus ou moins intéressante qui, par ce fait même, entraînait la formation à ce dissoudre, nous avons continué à faire de la musique ensemble. C'est alors qu'un copain, Stéphane, anciennement de la formation Long Drive, s'ajoute au groupe pour reconstituer un nouveau son et un tout nouveau but.. Nous repartons à neuf, avec un nouveau style et de nouveaux défis.

We're a Pop-Punk band called Memory Lane from La Mauricie, Quebec and we've been making music for at least ten years now. I must say that an amazing chemistry has been created along the way and that's the main reason why we're such good friends. We've got different styles we don't really like the same clothes or the same music but I think that it gives a pretty good result as a music band. Lyrically we're trying to let all our bad memories out. You know we all live different kind of things in our everyday lives and to me you have to share those bad feelings with people. You have to tell someone what's on your mind in case of problems. To let it out is sort of therapy for us. We actually are big music listeners and much of our influences come from bands like :
- Green Day (There's no way to be a better singer than Billie Joe Armstrong)
- Rise against (This is not just the flavour of the month but a real aggressive band who got something to say)
- Mest (How can you be happy in your car on a sunny day? Here's your recipe. Mest)
- AFI (Amazing songs, great make up style, very creative and they're some kind of inspiration to make your dream come true)
- The Beatles (I guess we have to name them they're the main source of inspiration for every rock band on this planet)
It's been like 7 years now that Mart, Seurg and Joe are making music together. They are ex members of a band called Broken Glass, a band who found his place on the Quebec punk scene in the last 3 years. Frank were also playing guitar in this band and at the beginning of the year 2007, the band decided to let his singer go to find another sound and getting higher than they were at this time.
To go on with this boring story the band broke up but they kept playing music together. They decided to give a phone call to their old friend Scott, an ex-member of the band Longdrive to start a new project and give this band his real meaning on the Quebec punk scene. This band is now called Memory Lane as you all already know and we set us up to bring ourselves on top to rock your town this summer.
