Biographie

Formed in February 1998, Hopeless Nation was put together for one thing - their love of hardcore and metal. Ever since, they've been making quite a name for themselves. Becoming known not only for their heaviness and originality, but also for their great live performances. From the begining, HN gained a lot of notoriety in the local scene. Containing members from different musical backgrounds, HN has develloped a unique sound based on originality and distinction."A Canada (Quebec) based metal band executing the epitome of blistering hardcore and technical metal with thick breakdowns, blasting percussions, and impeccable musicianship. They perfectionize an original sound of old and new school metal, raw, intense, in your face."

Since the release of their debut independent DIY release, "World of Hate" (March 2002), the band has been touring in East Coast Canada, did over 100 shows and performed with bands such as 100 demons, In Dying Days, A Perfect Murder, A Death for Every Sin, Final Word, IRE, The Black Hand, Lofofora, Ark Angel, Day of Mourning, Pitboss, Bloodwar and many more The band has proven their ability to own the crowd with their tightness, but mostly with total sickness on stage.

In April 2004, they released a new 6-song EPCD titled "Our Mistakes", filled with political, anti-war, societys values based lyrics and a powerfull and mature sound. Since then, HN has worked hard to expand their popularity all around Canada and the US.

  Comme vous avez pu le constater, Jeff n'est plus des nôtres et nous sommes donc actuellement à la recherche d'un nouveau batteur. La personne recherchée devra :
  
  - être motivée;
  
  - être ponctuelle;
  
  - avoir au minimum quelques années d'expérience;
  
  - avoir tout son équipement (récent si possible);
  
  - vouloir se dépasser et participer activement aux pratiques;
  
  - et donc par-dessus tout ÊTRE PROFESSIONNELLE.
  
  Nous avons des projets d'enregistrement, de tournées et autres choses du genre qui nécessitent que nous trouvions la personne idéale pour le poste. On se fout de ton âge, de ton sexe et même de ta couleur. Tu devras en contrepartie apprendre Break the Walls et Rest in Peace AVANT de prendre un rendez-vous.   As Jeff recently left the band, we are now looking for a new drummer.
  
  You must:
  
  - Have your own gear
  
  - Have a basic knowledge of technics and rhythm
  
  - Be ready to play many shows (and touring outside of QC)
  
  - Have a car is a plus (but not required)
  
  - Past studio/live experience is a plus (but not required)
  
  - Be ready to invest for studio recording
  
  We are presently in the process of writing a new album.. The new songs are AMAZINGGGGLY KICK ASSS !!! We already have a van, a jam space in Trois-Rivieres (maybe we can work out something in Montreal since half of the band now lives in the city), a distribution deal with Galy Records, 2 released cd's, merch, many contacts for shows in QC, Ontario and more...
  
  We are highly motivated, dedicated and also have a great synergy between bandmates (a lot of fun during the jam sessions).
